For what ever it's worth, just got my VW Passat inspected and oil changed here. They either didn't put the bottom splash guard back on, or didn't put it back on correctly and it fell off. Either way, this part supports the wheel liners and without it the tires wear holes in them which happened before I got the car home and husband noticed. All now have to be replaced (~$300 for parts, God only knows how much for labor). These parts all had to be replaced very recently for the same reason, and this is the only place that has removed the guard since replacement. Husband noticed last time they changed oil that several screws were not reinstalled, and he had to replace them (more expensive VW parts). This is the reason he checked so closely when I got home this time. My bad for not listening to him and taking it back there. When we called after getting the car home and noticing the problem (Saturday), we were told to call back Tuesday because the PIT GUY was already gone. I explained that the car couldn't be driven because the liners were rubbing, and was told "Sorry for the inconvenience". Really? I expect a reputable business to correct something they screwed up...and then some! My advice...STAY AWAY!
